Amlozaar-H is combination medicine containing Losartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide, primarily used to treat hypertension by relaxing blood vessels, improving blood flow, and removing excess fluid from the body.

Composition and How It Works

  • Losartan (50 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, increases sodium excretion, and lowers aldosterone production.
  • Amlodipine (5 mg): A calcium channel blocker (CCB) that widens and relaxes blood vessels to reduce blood pressure.
  • Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): A thiazide diuretic that promotes urination to eliminate excess water and salt, lowering blood volume and blood pressure.

The combination offers comprehensive blood pressure control, particularly beneficial for patients with resistant hypertension or additional risk factors like diabetes or cardiovascular disease Primary Uses

  • Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension).
  • Reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems associated with hypertension.
  • Managing hypertension in patients unresponsive to single medications or with diabetes.
